Impostors

That appears to be the case when a pale imitation of the Joker – both figurative and literal – begins recruiting everyday citizens to instigate riots throughout Gotham City. However, there’s a very mysterious punch line behind the warped humor of this homicidal harlequin, whose ties to the real McCoy and Batman have incited a new breed of mass insanity. Worse, as the Dark Knight and Gotham’s Finest quickly discover, that insanity is spreading. No sooner do bands of “Jokerz” crop up an impostor Batman appears, calling for the city’s inhabitants to rise up against the clownish insurgents. Unlike Gotham’s true crusader, however, these “Guardian Bats” are willing to bring the crime rate down through more permanent means. As anarchy and pandemonium square off against vigilante law and order, only the Batman can uncover the impostors’ true identities and motives in time.
